With the release of 2.6.1, Star Citizen makes one leap closer to the release of 3.0. Main improvements are to the "netcode" and also the addition of regional servers, which should help reduce ping for those of us across the pond. Some tweaks to the flight model, pirate spawns in Crusader, many bugfixes, and some quality of life improvements (mostly to the Hornet) were done.
Spectrum has also gone live and I have gone ahead and migrated our old forum headers over. It's still just a forum/chat room based app, so our move will be limited for the time being. With future iterations we will evaluate and then decide whether we will move our VOIP comms over to Spectrum as well - as it's not yet implemented. And if the system allows better integration of org website within and outside of game, we may see about moving our presence entirely over to Spectrum.
You can find TFCS's corner on the Spectrum on the top menu or directly here via this link: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/TFCS
There was also a sneak peek of the Prospector on a planetary surface with the mining laser activated, which leads many to believe that we might get some Mining or Industry-type gameplay elements before 3.0. Also, the Anvil Hurricane concept sale will be going on this Friday, February 24th.
